The Šid municipality is located in the Srem District, on the southwest side of the Fruška Gora mountain, on the left side of the River Sava. It shares a border with Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina. It is an excellent place for hiking, since part of the municipality is sprawled across the mountain range. It is also home to three rivers, three lakes, several monasteries and a large hunting area. Sports enthusiasts and people looking for some relaxation can also visit the Poseidon Recreation Center.

In this house the painter Sava Šumanović spent his early youth and the last year of his life. Today there is a gallery.
Lake Moharač

On this lake, fishermen are often found, fishing all kinds of fish throughout the year, and over the summer lake is turned into a swimming pool.
