The municipality of Bačka Topola is located in the North Bačka District, halfway between Subotica and Novi Sad. 23 settlements belong to this municipality. Lake Topola is located near Bačka Topola and is considered the municipality's symbol. Its water is clear and suitable for bathing and its beach is well-kept. People looking to cool down during the summer often visit the place and it is also a popular spot for picnics during May Day. The area surrounding the lake is protected. Zobnatica is located a few kilometers from the town. Here you can find the Zobnatica Nature Reserve Park, the Terleeva family's old tower, the windmill, archaeological site, and a small zoo as well. Zobnatica also has a riding hall and riding school where visitors interested in horseback riding can practice jumping obstacles and galloping as well as cross-country riding. Bačka Topola's Ethnohouse, museum and church are also worth visiting. The town's most well-known events include the Sarma Festival, Honey Carnival, the Town's Day, and the Vojvodina Farmers' Olympics. Stara Moravica also has interesting events such as the Kisüsti Pálinkaverseny (Pot Still Pálinka Contest) and Aspic Festival.
